Kimberly Stevenson is a native of Darlington, South Carolina. She attended Darlington High School in 2013 and graduated from DHS in 2017. Kimberly has been under the leadership of current Director Mr. Brendan L. Johnson where she also served as Dace Captain in 2016-2017. Upon graduating from Darlington High School, Kimberly became a student at South Carolina State University where she majored in Social Work. Director of Bands, Brendan Johnson says: "Kimberly Stevenson was one of the most independent students i've ever met. She had a goal in mind and wasn't going to let nothing stop her from achieving. She is well deserving of this recognition and will continue to succeed in life. I'm extremely proud of her."

While at South Carolina State University, Kimberly Stevenson became an illustrious member of the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. She was also a Community Assistant, member of the Social Work Club and the National Honors Society. Kimberly is now engaged to the love of her life, Justin Evans. She plans to attend Baylor University to obtain her Master's Degree. She later plans to become a school social worker and hopefully one day start her own motivation program.
