A graduate of Mayo Magnet School for Math, Science, and Technology, Arionna began her musical journey as a clarinetist before transitioning to the baritone, where she quickly rose to become a section leader under the leadership of Dr. Brendan L. Johnson, Director of Bands. As a member of both the Concert Band and Marching Band, Arionna was part of the historic student group that helped Darlington earn its first-ever superior ratings in both ensembles—a milestone that forever shaped the future of the program.

In fall 2018, Arionna took her talents to Bethune-Cookman University, earning academic and band scholarships and becoming a dedicated member of the Marching Wildcats. In 2023, she graduated with a degree in Health and Exercise Science and is now preparing to pursue her master’s degree in Physical Therapy, continuing her commitment to health, movement, and service.

“Arionna Rawls is the perfect blend of resilience, grace, and strength,” said Dr.

Brendan L. Johnson. “She took on every challenge with excellence—from switching instruments to leading her section—and brought the same energy and determination to the classroom. Her future in physical therapy will be just as impactful as her time in the band program.”

The Darlington Marching Falcon Band applauds Arionna Rawls for her academic accomplishments, musical leadership, and bright future in the field of physical therapy.
