Darlington High School Band 2022 Graduate Davion Abraham signed with Benedict College receiving a scholarship on Trumpet.
Davion Abraham is a 2022 graduate of Darlington High School. Davion has served as a trumpet player in the band for five years. He has been a loyal and devoted member who gave much of his time to Darlington High School's award-winning Symphonic Band, Total Package Jazz Band, and the Award Winning Marching Falcon Band. Davion has served as a leader for the award winning Marching Falcon Band as well as the lead trumpet player for the Symphonic Band. Davion has had a wide range of experience while participating in the Darlington Band Program. He has traveled with the band to various states such as Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia.
Davion received a Band scholarship to attend Benedict College in Columbia, SC. On top of receiving his band scholarship, he has also received a number of academic scholarships to go towards his academic journey. His Major is Criminal Justice.
Mr. Johnson stated, "Davion was definitely one of my most dedicated and loyal band student. I could always depend on him to be where he's supposed to be. No matter what's the location and no matter the time, Davion will be there. His effective leadership skills as a student was better than the skills that i've observed from most adults. He is very driven! I literally have known Davion since he was a little boy. To see where he is now has really blown me away. I'm very proud of him."
Davion departed in August 2022 to begin his journey with the Benedict College Marching Band of Distinction. Join us in wishing him well and congratulating him on such an outstanding achievement.
